These two pieces of sea glass will be permanently displayed in the sidebar. These are two "crown jewels" in our collection.
They are Hood Milk Bottle Bottoms from back in the days when milk was delivered in glass bottles. One is dated 1930, the other 1938.
What is sea glass?
Sea Glass is glass found on beaches along oceans that has been tumbled and smoothed by the water and sand, creating small pieces of smooth, frosted glass. We find our sea glass while walking the beaches of Buzzard's Bay in Massachusetts. There are a lot of boats and a rocky shore which makes a good recipe for sea glass. Our family has been collecting sea glass for over fourteen years and we have literally tens of thousands of specimens. This site is a photographic catalog of our sea glass collection, our weathered jewels. Kick back and peek around at the photos of sea glass.

Hey,
My wife and I are coming up to the Cape (from Fort Myers, home of Red Sox spring training)in early October - my wife is a fanatic about sea glass. Theren't aren't many good glass beaches in the Chatham area, so I thought we'd drive to Buzzards Bay. Can you recommend a couple of good beaches to explore? Thanks.
Bob from Fort Myers
